It cant be frostbite because its spring time unless he can get frostbite idk.

You’re from NJ? Just looks like a little residual frostbite. I would leave it alone completely, it’s not severe and will heal on its own. I would check the ventilation in your coop; it’s not a cold issue it’s a ventilation issue. Moisture + freezing temps cause frostbite.

it hasn't been freezing temp lately. I did have a small chick waterer in the coop for one of the hens but then I took it out. It was only in there for maybe 2 or 3 days. Could that have been the moisture?
