I had horrible troubles with snakes until I used 1/4 inch hardware cloth on all windows, 3 ft. up the side of the run (which already had 1/2 inch cloth. Make SURE there are no holes and cracks along the floor anywhere. This solved all my issues. Definitely post in our Pests forums, @Pork Pie has left you the link.
