Tired of getting roosters

I have 14 chickens and I have had to rehome six that have turned out to be roosters. Is there any sure way of sexing these young birds when I get them. They are usually about 8 weeks old and the feed stores tell me they are hens and sure enough..... roosters!!!!

I currently have two that stand off to each other and jump up and hit their chest together. Is that a sign of roosters?

Any help would be appreciated. I keep buying and then have to give the roosters away because nobody will buy them.

I had the same problem with feed stores around here. I have found a reputable breeder though and they will guarantee their chickens if it aint a pullet bring it back and will give me one the same age. Heck they even took they hatchery pullets that I bought from the feed store that a few turned out to be roosters. Look on craigslist, that is where I found my breeder. You might have better luck and can do a deal with a handshake. Im hopin for the best for ya.

My pullets are always bumping chests just to establish the pecking order, you still have the chance that they are pullets

Thank you for the replies. I just bought 2 blue giant cochins, 1 buff orpington and one rhoad Island red yesterday. One of my other young silver laced wyandotte is bumping chest with my new orpington.

I don't know what hatchery mine came from. I bought them at Coastal Farm. But of 23, only 2 turned out to be roosters. Apparently they did a good job sexing the hatchlings. I got Wyandottes, EEs and Production Reds.
