Tired of guarding your plants from chipmunks and squirrels?

Every year the squirrels and chipmunks have become increasing destructive of my container plants.
The squirrels have even pulled out the plants to dig beneath. The chipmunks take dirt baths and trench out the flower roots!!

But, finally, I have won the battle with an old fashion toy ....Slinky!!






One chipmunk challenged the marigold, entered the rings, laid on it's back and started the daily dirt bath. But, couldn't and immediately left the pot alone.

Update:

Squirrel proof as long as they can't sit on the pot's edge.

But not totally Chipmunk proof - they do get inside the Slinkys and cannot do the dirt baths, but if the Slinky does not fill up the space between the plant and the edge of the container...they can go thru the coils and still dig

Birds sat on the potted tree and didn't even notice, but hope that chipmunk does.
