Tired Rooster

Crop is empty and flat, no signs of lice or mites, has access to grit and his feed is a mix of layer crumb and cracked corn. He also gets cooked veggies and oat sprouts once a week
I started vitamins today. Are there other reasons he may be anemic with no signs of lice or mites?
Can you get some chick starter or all flock feed to feed him?
I would cut out the corn and other things for a while too.

:loveHe is a pretty roo! Could be finishing off his molt and might need some extra protein, like scrambled eggs. I would take him off the layer feed and get some all flock or grower feed for him. I read that the extra calcium is not good for roosters.

I think I read that the extra calcium in layer feed is too much for roosters and can damage their kidneys. I wish there was a feed for roosters but I still feed mine grower and he is 2 years old.

Hi. I am in Ontario. Temperatures are up and down but he is in the house so that is not an issue. Crop is empty and flat, no signs of lice or mites, has access to grit and his feed is a mix of layer crumb and cracked corn. He also gets cooked veggies and oat sprouts once a week. For the most part poop is normal but he does have two to three watery ones a day. I believe our vet's office can and I will call them to make sure b
This is a picture of his morning poo. After the morning one it goes back to the normal ball with white top. He does however have two or three of these. Also here is a picture of what he is doing most of the day for the last two days. 1580998764127489692527475560227.jpg IMG_20200206_082420.jpg 1580998764127489692527475560227.jpg

Can you take some poop samples to your vet for testing?
Since you are in Ontario that would be best if possible, since you are fairly limited in medications you can get OTC.

I would try to get him hydrated. I would also take him of layer feed (too much calcium for cockerels). Get him on an all flock feed or chick starter. Limit scratch/corn, etc. See that feed is fresh and not moldy. It sounds like he's not eating very well, you may be able to entice him with some scrambled egg after you get him hydrated.

Even though he's never been outside, there is a possibility that he can become overloaded with Coccidiosis. The poop is not normal, but it's really hard to know the cause.
