Hello! Laverne mom here. As I've said before we rescued Laverne who was free ranging our neighborhood with her pal Shirley- sadly something happened to Shirley before we could get her too- chickens not allowed yet in our city by the way☹ so we have a coop big enough for 2- Laverne seems happy- egg a day- but has been on her own since November- she is a Leghorn- we have a chance to get an Easter Egger about the same age, but with minimal space no room for a gradual introduction period- im afraid she may be lonely, but I don't want to upset her small castle with a newbie any thoughts would be appreciated!

Have them on either side of a fence for a few weeks.

Dog kennel next to the run for a few weeks would also work. You know your chicken best but my guess would be that she will be happier with a friend.
