To buy or to not buy?

I know that alot of first timer's get these but I'd be curious just how long they use them before they have to do something else. In this price range range if buying lumber and making a much sturdier better quality coop yourself is not in the cards, then an option in between DIY and pre-fab is buy the cheapest, smallest pre-fab just for parts (the already made hardware cloth screens/panels. Get a dog house or wooden shed and modify it with pre-fab parts. It's just an idea but for sure don't plan that this would be a good permanent coop solution, it's just not. Check out the small and medium coops articles and you'll get inspired to do something else, there are SO many wonderful, creative coops to look through. Good luck!!

They look a little small, but they're pretty!
Those are. I think my friend said she has 6 chickens in them. But the guy making them is new to chicken tractors and coops (but not new to carpentry) and might be able to make larger versions? I don't know. I hope to get one (or two) from him myself this year. I hope you find something great. Post here when you do, I'd love to see it!
