To clip, or not to clip.

My Muscovy, Quacks, free ranges in the daytime with the chickens and I often see (or hear) her flying over when I call them up. My neighbor just got a pool and she's been scoping it out for a few days now, and I'm afraid she'll go for her morning bath in there instead of her pool. Should I have her wings clipped? Has anyone had a Muscovy fly off? We live in Mississippi, so I doubt she would "fly south" but you never know. Pros and cons of wing clipping? She goes to roost every night so I wouldn't have to worry about her being locked out. Thanks in advance!

If you have neighbors who might not like a duck pooping in their brand new pool I would clip one wing. I have never had one fly off but some on here have . I do clip one wing on my females every year after molt.
