How many of you would or have culled a chicken with an obvious respiratory infection ? I'm treating one but nervous she will infect my flock once returned from isolation and feeling better. Symptoms are gurgling and open mouth breathing. I am.treating with LA 200 and vet RX.

:welcome No,I would not cull her. But I would not put her with the flock for awhile after she is better. Just to make sure she is fully clear of illness. I hope she has a quick recovery.

first i would check for any white vent discharge, if you notice it, that is yeast and can cause respiratory symptoms, antibiotics will make yeast worse, possibly fatal. As far as respiratory, no i don't cull, i have a MG positive flock and treat monthly with denaguard
