To Cull ..... then what?

I've "harvested", skinned and gutted a few banties, they are good for soup! And I have a few friends who feed thier dogs raw chicken. There is a big market in Raw pet food these days. As long as the bones are not cooked they are fine for pets.

opps sorry someone already mentioned this!

How would you go about reaching out to the crafters and/or fly fishermen? It's a great idea. Is there a specific place (website) to offer the feathers/pelts other than CL?

Thanks!

I would post on craigslist, maybe make a few posters to put up at any local theaters or art galleries, and talk to people at the upcoming craft bazzaars which are EVERYWHERE this time of year (anyone who sells feathers might buy them to resell, or know someone who wants some!). As far as websites, I don't know of any specifically. I do most of my feather dealing in person at renaisance faires.

Thanks for the reply

Killing an animal and then simply burying it is not only wasteful, but totally disrespectful to life in general. If you must kill them, either eat them, give them to someone else, or at least use the meat as dog or cat food.

We never kill roosters anymore.....if we have some 'extra', I will either sell them (Craigslist works great: just make sure you set a small fee for them), keep them, or assign them to a separate area, to eat grasshoppers.

It's up to you, but please, for the love of all that's good, don't just bury them!
