Chicks Just started hatching early this morning and the second one is stuck to the shell. It came out about 830am. Five more have pipped. Should i cut the cord or how long to wait before doing so or leave it alone. Worried if i open the incubator about the others pipping. This is my first hatch.

This will usually dry up and come off by itself. I have though cut them in the past when it looks like they are dry and dragging the egg shell around for a long time.😊
Congrats on your new babies!

What is a long time. I was thinking of waiting till the five others that are pipping come out and if it’s still attached then cut it.

I typically cut it as close to the shell as I can get it so that they're not dragging a shell around and still affords them the opportunity for it to dry and fall off naturally (for a perfect belly button :D)
