To Dub or not to Dub, THAT is the question...

My crowing hen Slifer had frost bite just like that one her comb and wattles. She lost some of the points on her comb, but her wattles healed up fine.
I wouldn't give antibiotics only for the fact that frostbite isn't an infection.

Hoss Update.

I did not dub but I finally had to remove him from the hens population because they are just not leaving his comb alone. He got in there with the girls yesterday after about 1 week and a half alone and they bloodied his comb.

His wattles are healing well but his comb is rough looking, but healing.

I am glad I didn't dub, but next year I will have to be more cautious with him and cold weather.

The comb really doesn't look that bad. Try caking some vaseline on it. and i do not believe the hens will be quite as aggressive with him.
