To feed or not to feed corn, that is the question.

We are in SE Montana. I grow my own open pollinated corn. No gmo anything for my birds or me.

Montana girl here also and would kill for corn on the cob, non GMO .Just saw in the hennessy store in Butte has organic corn on the cob. 4 for 5 dollars. now that's ridiculous. You have the means to give non GMO foods, we who live in town are at the mercy of what murdocks supply us. ( now I ordered scrath and peck from washington ) no corn, no soy and non GMO. if I could get a complete non GMO food here I would have done it, but no luck. :(

Feeding straight corn, or any other feedstuff, in addition to a complete feed will dilue the nutrition the animal consumes. In the case of corn it will reduce the the amino acid intake and alter the energy:Amino Acid ratios. This will result in excess fat depotisiotn and reduction in egg laying.
