I see this thread is a few months old at this point, so this is a bit late of a response, but I am firmly of the belief that every breed deserves to have a silkied variety. But I agree, Orpingtons would be spectacular in silkied feathering.

I liked his floofiness, he just didn't have the fibromelanosis, & he was too aggressive towards other roosters/cockerels. So, he became soup.
