To keep or not to keep

I believe for the time being that I'll keep them, as I tried handling them today, and they screamed and ran when I walked toward them, but quieted down once I actually picked them up. Out of curiosity though, are Pekins respectable egg layers? I've heard mixed things about them. And are Khaki Campbell's really as flighty as they say or are they just mislabeled?
The way to my ducks is through treats and lots and lots of time with them. If I start slacking and don't spend time with them they tend to not want to be around me as much. My first set of ducks weren't all that friendly but I didn't put in the amount of time needed. This time around I spend hours every day till they were 8 weeks old and they are much friendlier. However none like to be picked up at all. Try slow movements with treats and just sit with them. Don't try to pet or touch just be around them and work up from there.

@needlessjunk Yeah I'll try that. I'm probably just going to end up getting a drake from a high production breed to fertilize their eggs so the ducklings will be good layers.
