OK ...on seventh day treating with corid.... now on electalites... one death being four days ago and two days into a BCM laying on his back.... what do i do ...put out of his misery or do they come out of it......seems to be fighting but.... any insight..

It's a personal decision that only you can make. I'm not sure what corid is used for as I've never medicated any of my chickens. The thing I try to weigh out is, is it worth the suffering that the bird is going through? Will it recover fully, or have a poor quality of life if it lives? Will it need special treatment for the rest of its life? Can it be comfortable? Or, do I feel that the poor thing is going to die anyway, and am I just prolonging its suffering? Can you afford the time or money to baby a "special needs" chicken along?

I personally would give it a little more time. Continue the medication and see if she is able to pull out of it. But that's just my opinion its a personal decision you. will have to make on your own.if she were mine I'd likely give her more time to become responsive. Best wishes in what ever choice you make. I'm sure you will do what is best for you. God bless

Make sure no vitamins are given during Corid treatment(interferes with the ability of amprolium to work). I would keep treating him. What dosage are you using?
