I've got a large pen with about twenty five roosters in it now - Delawares, Jersey Giants, a Barred Rock, Cuckoo Maran, White Leghorn ranging from less than a year to three years. All day long it's bicker, bicker, bicker. If it hasn't rained in a while there will be a ring of small feathers all the way around the outside. Most of the time this is as bad as it gets with an occasional flare up that dies out after a while. No serious injuries. If you put a new bird in they have to find their place in the pecking order so you can expect them to beat the tar out of him until he knows where he belongs.

I call it Rooster Island - All Drama, All Day.

Mine fought a while then they established a pecking order. After that it wasn't much of a ruckus.
