Diarrhea can cause dehydration which in turn will cause the birds to drink more. It can be puzzle to determine which came first.

I raised from chicks, Lavender Orpingtons and Swedish Flowers. Small coop, small flock. I also have a horse which keeps me in the barn a lot. Now that I'm a member of Backyard Chickens I see a lot of computer time in the future. Glad to be part of the group.

You have a beautiful flock. I love Orpingtons. I've raised the Buff Orpingtons for years and they are hardy, friendly and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of them), and good layers of large, brown eggs. I've never had any Swedish Flowers, but I've seen them and they are certainly beautiful birds. Good luck with your flock.
