to trim or not to trim... not really sure.

One of my 2wk old chicks has a really undershot lower beak. It fits INSIDE the upper beak, which has a slight downward curve to it (I'll get a pic if I can). She seems to be okay with eating & drinking, as she is growing & thriving, but she drops a LOT of her crumbles when she eats (and makes a HUGE mess!). I'm not sure if she does it because of her deformity, or if she's just a slob, but...

should I try to trim her upper beak to match the lower one? If so, how do I do that? She's so little!
