To Whom Does This Barnevelder Hen Belong?

If I ever head that way again you could sure have her. I was going to Vancouver a couple times a year to bring my 96 year old mother over to visit but she has been flying to Spokane lately and I just zip over there and pick her up.
Awesome. If you’re ever headed this way just let me know. Is she friendly?

She isn’t to bad but when you reach out to pet her she moves away. I haven’t ever tried to tame her so I’m sure it wouldn’t take to long. She is in with a Swedish flower hen and 6 blue icebar hens and a icebar Roo. They all get along well.

I know my Barnevelders were not very productive. Gorgeous, but a good day was finding three or four eggs in the nest boxes out of 30 hens? And that was in the few months out of the year they deigned to lay. Most of the time they were a waste of feed but easy on the eyes.
