My 1 mo Call duckling, Cheddar, had the very first signs of what might become angel wing. It's so slight, that I can't even get it to show up in pics.

There are 3 reasons I think it's developing:
  1. Cheddar's dad had angel wing
  2. My Swedish, Clementine, also had angel wing, and this looks pretty much identical
  3. It's on the left wing, which I understand is common
So... is it too early to worry about angel wing? Is there a chance it could correct itself if I let it alone?

PS: I am in love with this duck. Just so you know.

May I ask where you got the Swedish from? My Swedish hazel has severe angel wing. I wrapped every imaginable way, but she found a way to undo it. In my opinion if they don’t need to migrate, then leave it be.
Got her from Metzer. I feel similarly, but figured it's *usually* an easy fix, so I'll give it a go.

I let Cheddar's breeder know about the angel wing, too. She was grateful for the info.

Ever see a duck pout?

Here's Cheddar after I wrapped her wing for the gazillionth time because she keeps taking it off when I'm not looking. I taped it this time.

Normally, she sits on my lap before she goes to bed. She's a good 2 feet away from me and refuses to look at me.

Teenagers... 🙄
