Today is a day of celebration

Our 17 week old cockerel, Clark Gable, found a flock of his own and will be heading to meet his 12 ladies on Sunday.

So VERY thankful. Time was closing in on him as he has started chasing my big girls. He was a single hatch and since he was 5 weeks old he has been in charge of our 6 pullets (we bought for a broody that didn't work out). He has taught those little girls a lot, but we always knew this day was coming. Thankful it is this and not the alternative which we have been discussing lately.
