Today is Day 21!

Today is day 21 for me, just curious who else is expecting chicks to hatch within the next couple of days? And how can you have the patience to wait? It feels like I am a kid on Christmas morning I have my eggs under a broody wyandotte. She just got up to feed and I looked, but none of the eggs have pipped yet I candled them two nights ago when she got up and most of them were too dark to even see through, is that a good sign? tThis is my first time hatching and I'm so eggcited!

I have a broody-incubator combo hatch going on at the moment and I'm just about done (I think). But I know the feeling of waiting for that first pip.. It's exiting for sure! Hope your broody has a good hatch.

My chicks are hatching today! They started chirping last night and our first chick was hatched about an hour ago. This is our first time hatching chicks. Mine are in an incubator. 2 more have cracks in them, and if you the others up to your ear you can hear little tapping sounds. It does feel like Christmas!

Hatching is very fun! I haven't heard any chirps yet but that is because ever time I look at my broody she puffs up and "booooooccckk"s at me!
