My broody has 6 chicks and 3 unhatched eggs still under her. Today is day 23. Any chance the unhatched eggs will hatch, or should I remove them from under her. It's cold here and she is staying in with the babies, otherwise she might have left the eggs behind to take the chicks free ranging. I'm worried one of the might explode on the chicks. How much longer should I give them?
Thanks

Update:

I just went down to lock the coop for the night and she had rolled one of the EE eggs way away from her and it was cold. My husband and I carefully chipped the shell away, thinking if there was a chick in there maybe I could slip it under her. It was just an egg, no chick, no blood ring, nothing. So now she's got 2 eggs left under her. I picked her up to clean up behind her and when I put her down she rushed over to the eggs and rolled them way up under her. Maybe there's hope after all. Can a hen tell if the egg has a chick in it. Could it be she rolled it away on purpose?
