My Ginger is a New Hampshire Red and she laid an egg before my leghorn. I got my first egg about an hour and a half when I got back from school. I can't belive how happy I actually am!

Yayy for first eggs!

Just a note - Until she is 1 year old she is still a pullet. Over 1 year and she is a hen. Cockeral for a boy and after 1 year he is a rooster.

Congrats it's a great feeling isn't it? It will never get boring, yeahhh!!!!

Its been 3 days since she laid her first egg, how long will it take for her to lay a second one?

You can never really tell. She could lay one tomorrow or not lay another one for a week or more. Feed her well. Be patient.

Isn't it eggciting? LOL
