TODAY WAS THE DAY Update PG 10!!

I know it's only Tuesday but i am so nervous it feels like tomorrow LOL

My first job interview this Friday and i don't know what to say or do when i go in.... i was pretty much going to free style is ..answer what she ask

again it's a interview at Petsmart for the Animal Care Specialist

i REALLY want this job it will help me in so many ways... for one it's a job and i need one!

two it will keep my active

three it will keep my mind off of other things are are trying to turn my smile upside down.

four it's a job and i really need one! LOL!

So please any tips advice on what to do what to wear all that.. i am a newbie at this

My first piece of advise is to take God in there with you. Pray right before you get out of your car and ask Him to join you. Secondly, relax and know that you are a wonderful person, a hard worker, and a caring young man. Remember that you are not in control of this - God is. If He chooses to open this door for you, He will.

Mantain eye contact when being spoken to. Shows your confident.

Dont use words like "Yea", "Um", etc. Say yes, instead of yea.

I applied at the Farmland several times and this is the first year they called me back. She just about hired me during the interview.

Don't interrupt.

Be very interested in the job.

Know the company so you can ask "good" questions.

Be very polite and thank the interviewer for seeing you and considering you for the position.

Be yourself, just relax and be confident.

1. Dress nice. Wear a suit or a nice button-down shirt and slacks. Even though it's Petsmart, a job interview is a job interview. Always dress nice for a job interview, even if you are interviewing to scrub toilets, dress nice anyway.

2. Shake hands firmly and look the interviewer in the eye.

3. Go to Monster.com or some such place and look over the practice questions. Have ready some quick, honest, and interesting answers to the following questions:

-Why you want to work at Petsmart
-Why they should hire you (over the 200+ other applicants they've had for the same job)
-What are your strengths
-What are your weaknesses
-Tell them about a time you solved a problem, or made a customer (or just someone) happy after they were unhappy

4. Do not ask about benefits or vacation time or the pay until they have already made you a job offer. By all means, after they call you back to offer you the job, ask away, but before then, don't--the idea is that you want to work for them because you love customer service and you love animals, not because of the fabulous pay and benefits. Yes, I know, not so fab actually, but still.

5. Ask them a question or two about Petsmart. Interviewers actually like talking about themselves, so if you can't think of any particular questions about the company, ask the interviewer what they like best about working there, what's their favorite pet, etc.
