Today when I went to let the kids out of the coop, I checked the nest boxes, and there were two nice brown eggs. One from one of the older pullets, and one I think is a first egg! YAY!! Wierd though, because we've got a new 20-week-old brown egg layer, and the 20-week-old leghorns and minorcas who are looking SO mature haven't laid yet...
I went into the run to scatter some old bread for them, and found the cutest little tiny fart egg in the dirt. First fart egg from this batch of girls, and the first egg I've found not in the nest boxes. They were so cute, I couldn't resist pulling out my camera.
