*Today's Really Dumb Question: Is there such a thing as goat BUTTER??

You can make small amounts of butter from goat's milk. Milking one goat I only get about a cup of cream a week. I usually let it sour, as I love sour cream. We use it to make homemade sour cream pancakes.

I have never had a problem with the cream rising to the top. I use a big flat spoon and just scoop it off. You don't get lots, but what I do get is a good amount I feel.
If you want to make butter you just need to keep adding the cream you scoop off to the frozen cream.
It is well worth it, especially when last year we were getting over a gallon a day and just me and my husband.. we were looking for things to do with the milk! I use it in pancake mix, even if it says add water, I add the goat milk.
You won't get enough to amount to alot of butter, because it takes a while to save enough cream, but it is enough for my hubby and I.
