Toddlers are Quackers

Our fridge has made awful noises for several years now, I've stopped waiting for it to burst into flame. Someday, though.... Someday....
i am really hoping it doesnt but we just keep waiting
Thanks. After a couple days it really did stink! Lol! It was only 5yrs old & we had no clue it was on its way out. The lights never died so the food was already melting & getting warm by the time we figured it out. Since it wasn't that old, I had a guy come out to look at it. Cost me $45 for him to tell me it couldn't be saved.
ours is probably closer to 18 years, so it has served its time, but i keep my fingers crossed, and that really doesnt seem like a bad service call fee

Morning all:caf  I'm just catching up. Spent the last 4 days with a broken fridge, throwing away rotten food & trying feed a family of 5 out of a cooler.:th I'm just beginning to see some of the counter tops today (it was seriously scary all the stuff that had stockpiled in & on top of that thing!)

Sorry Abi that you've been sick, cold & being punished. Try to ride it through... They need you more than they will ever admit. I truly believe that if you play it off like it doesn't bother you at all (ya know, like, I'm getting lots of rest & tons of stuff done in my free time, etc... ) They'll see that they aren't succeeding in 'punishing' you & it will be over quicker than if they think you're pining for her. Question: How do you know that they actually took her to the Dr. & didn't just say they did?

I can't know. But if I ask what she's on, I will have an idea if she was actually seen.
Thanks to my posting, and getting responses, I can now test her myself.
I'm sorry about your fridge. I too am waiting for mine to die. It was very sick two years ago. I lost food. But, I was able to discern that the immediate problem was the seal. Not the otter.
I got creative, got the fridge to seal again, and have been okay since. Though sometimes the sounds are scary. Mine is probably from the eighties.

The seal not the otter?

Sounds like something my dad might say.

If yours is from the 80's it might live forever. My first fridge was from the 80's, went thru the ringer for many, MANY years & could not be killed. We finally got rid of it because with all the kids, we needed a bigger one & were lured in by a $50 rebate & the promise of lower electric bills... Bah!... Haven't had a solid fridge since!
