That looks so painful. Can it eat?

Could a Predator have done that??

If it is not a fav or needed for breeding it may be kind to send him to camp. I would worry that he will starve unless you could fashion some sort of extension on the bit of beak that is left.
 
He's missing most of his bill. He's drinking, grooming, running, calm but not lethargic. No signs of discomfort or a loss of energy. I'm keeping an eye on him, and will make a decision by Thursday. Rather the new owners will. They won't put him down themselves, but know I will handle it after they leave with the other birds.
He was finally put in a duck diaper. Then outside after a while longer. I would have kept him in a crate had he not been so "normal", and acted like he had to stay inside.
