lol, i live like 2 hours from boston, and my mom and step dad are from massThere's a gal from Massachusetts where I work. She's the one that told me about Harvard yards. That is an interesting concept. Montana has an accent like Midwest with a smidge of Texas and Minnesota together. I'm not sure how else to explain. It's because the cattle drives moved cattle from here all the way to the south in the winter. We are still a fence out state to this very day! Not many cattle or sheep drives anymore tho. And the Norwegians settled from here to Minnesota in droves when they emigrated. My great grandma insisted we have fresh lesfa and lutefisk every Christmas. My grandpa makes krumkakes stuffed with rum flavored whipping cream. Yeah, lots of Norwegians in these parts.
i need to try theseThem norskies come up with killer sweets. The krumcakes are like a crispy cookie or sweet pancake rolled into a tube for stuffing with other sweet things. Like flavored whipping cream! I'm sure ralphie, being in the heart of Minnesota land, is much further immersed in norski tradition than this cowgirl.
