if you leave them too long they get a weird flavor, better to pick early than late
so if you want you could pick them now

Part of me wants to get into the garden now, while Duckling is asleep.
The logical side of me realizes that it's too dangerous! There are deadly things lurking in that garden this early! Things that want to come flying at me. Things that will imbed themselves into my soul if I am not careful. Vile, squirmy gross things.
