Duckling wants to be a duck for Halloween.
Awesome!!
my favorite so far was when mine was a skunk

I want a lava lamp. Amazon (who else? They are better than Walmart!... Sometimes) has quite a few. Some even project lava effects and play music.
I can't decide which ones I want. Ones because they start at about $15 (actually less) and go up. I may as well get two. One for Duckling, and one for me! She can't have it in her room yet though. I am not teaching her to be afraid of the dark.

Toddlers are nuts I am a mom to 5 boys (6 if you add in my 13y/o brother who spends over half his time out here on the farm) my boys rang in age from 12 down to 18m and ooooohhhhh boy are they something else they will fight over collecting eggs so much so that I had to set up a schedule for who gets to go in with me on which days, and ugh my latest headache has been the "he's breathing on me" from my 4y in regards to my 12y but when it comes to helping out and cuddling they are the best (even if I have to re wash the dishes)

Now that she is asleep, I can type and ... maybe stop eating raw cookie dough.

We got some important stuff some today! First, I lowered her coat hook by the front door. She decided to wear her green jacket around the house today, and when she took it off, she tossed it on the floor. I decided to not fuss. It is a normal kid thing to do. But, not putting the hook at her level was OCD of me. So we did that. She seems happy about it. For some reason, I have had (clean) cat litter spilled on the floor in the front hall for like a year. I swept a bunch up, but out of sight, out of mind (No comment). Today, it was cleaned up. While I was at it, Duckling carried the nozzle, and we went up to clean her room... Which got rearranged at bedtime last night, in between stories. That includes the cobwebs outside her door that I see when I am checking on her before I go to bed, but not in the morning.
We also got some laundry done. I meant to have her hang it on the line this morning, but kept getting sidetracked (like with dishes). So, it will go in the dryer.
I have figured out that my Pekin girl is intentionally laying in the neighbor's yard (the one that said I hurt her because I didn't want to give her eggs. The eggs from a bird she swore she has had before. The eggs she has been incubating, and just asked me how to take care of!!!). She taught the Muscovy to do the same. So, I have been keeping the birds cooped in the morning. To keep Duckling happy, I let them out early. And Duckling fed and watered.
She almost pooped in the potty... She knows she should have. It actually is funny... I scared the poop out of her!

She tried the potty a few times with no success. I turned the vacuum on while she was carrying the hose, and she went!

Get her a duckling themed one.

Didn't see them... Yet!

Hi! Welcome to BYC! Yes, it sounds like you can count your brother. Does anyone collect eggs alone? At 18 mos, I could stand at the door while Duckling got eggs. Now, I am outside the coop feeding birds or messing with something, and she goes in and does her thing. I LOVE IT!!!

I remember washing dishes when I was three. They got rewashed later, but I got to do them. Let me rephrase. I think they got rewashed. My father had me doing them. He may not have rewashed them. LOL! With that many kids, I am surprised you let them do dishes before they can do them right. We had 7 under ten. My mother didn't let us cook at all, and we could only bake when she didn't have to be in there with us. Funny since my grandfather owned a bakery. But, he was a jerk about letting her in the kitchen. Anyway, she was short on patience in the kitchen. Anywhere else, she was fine. Everyone wanted to be at our house after school and during the summer. Heck, we even had college kids (four one Christmas) staying with us. And for prom, my mother was the person to go to for hair!
