I was sooo happy to be having it for supper until the neighbor came to get Duckling. I had bough three locks to choose from to keep them from barging into my house (storm door). None could be easily installed, so I barricaded the door with a metal broom. The jerk didn't bother ringing the bell, I knew she was here when I heard the broom break.
I spoke as calmly as I could, and she wasn't getting that she had done something wrong. She finally said, "Well, at least it was a friendly person that broke the lock, and not an intruder!"

Doesn't your inside door lock?

Yes. But opening the first storm door lets you into a room. A room I keep things in. A room they should not be in. A room I don't need cats (I'm allergic) in, spraying, chicken and dog poo spread in...

:hugs :hit :hugs
you are the best person in that childs life

I am! :D

I like the idea of electrifying the door better. :weee

You think I wouldn't?  In a NY minute! If not for the baby running around, I'd be doing a lot of gun cleaning in the living room, as well.

Ten years ago, I thought I'd buy my first gun. I'm not in a place to have one now. I also have to stay away from YouTube videos telling me how to load the ones upstairs. I am very serious. I cannot be trusted with a gun right now.
I have shot handguns before, and it was a good shot when I was learning. Fortunately, he did not show me how to load. :gig He did not like how I held it to my side either.
