Toddlers are Quackers

We finger painted today. Crayola's "washable" paint. More of a poster paint intended for kids eight and up. I brought her outside, and put a piece of paper on her picnic table. After dumping an entire bottle of paint, she got upset because her hands were dirty. She wiped them all over herself. :D I handed her the towel intended for her wiping her hands off, and she got a little bit of paint on that. I, of course was covered in paint because I was actually having some fun trying to teach her how to use the paint.
Once in the house, she was stripped down and washed off. She was not happy until all of the paint was off of her. :lau

:ep The first time you ask a 2-year-old to clean up their toys, and they say, "Umm, no!"

The reaction to to that is : "ok dear Mammy is taking all your toys to the trash been " and than you take here favorite toy and put it the trash been, and I can assure you that she will run to clean her toy! To educat is to be active ( sometimes! )

She is too young to understand what that even means. In the future, I do plan on doing that. This young, and after her bedtime I could not do such a thing.
Besides, she didn't learn that from me. I never say "Umm, no". The other aunts do! It is going to get very interesting as they teach her a lot of bad habits.

Dear Abi
I have been there 3 times! If you want to educate and to "mald" (mold, muld moald?) Duckling to be a good person that have values ( and YOU decide what this values are) you should begin early! to begin at 2 years old, is to late! They understand MUCH more than you think! Belive me this is my profession!
And you must understand that ouer most important rule as parents and educators is not to give them all the things they WANT but to give the things they NEED! And sometimes it means to be tough and to say No!
