I think I've got it... Ab-eh-gail not Ab-ah-gail, right? My mouth doesn't say "Ab-eh-gail" naturally... I feel a little like Robert DeNiro when I move my jaw that way 'ya know whad I mean?'

I do! I can slow down to speak, and it feels so... Almost painful to speak without an accent. Even in my mind, I can't do it!
I remember "car" and "fire" the best. The one teacher would have me say car over and over! "say, 'carrrrruh!'"
"Carrruh!"
"Good! Now, say, 'car!"'
"Cah!"
The two could not decide how to say, "fire".
"Fuy-er" or "fiyre"
I usually say, "fiyre".

Do you seat together for family meals?
We eat every day breakfast and dinner together, in my eyes it is very important to begin the day together and see what are the plans for tge day, and finished it to see how was the day and if they need any help or some other intervention from us.

I agree with you but our schedule does not work this way.
The kids and I usually are able to eat dinner together but that is only sometimes.
My husband works nights...and my oldest girl is in competitive gymnastics which takes up a LOT of hours each day...our routine kinda revolves around her gym schedule which makes it impossible for us all, as a family to be able to sit down together..

I began raising the first 21 years ago. It was annoying then. It's worse now. I took too long (and I still forget to) to say, "I am not a part-time sitter. I must treat her as my own." So she gets what she wants elsewhere, and I am now enjoying the battle of the age and the other adults.
It's just a wrinkled shell.
Ahbigail. And when you say Abi" it is pronounced the same way you say, "Abigail" without the "gail" So, "Abi" is not really "Abbey". It's "Abih" "Abby" gets a Jersey accent!

I kept pronouncing HAVid...what ever the work was...with an Indian/iranian accent.
I had no idea what I was trying to say.
