Hard to beat around a bush when I never mentioned it. Answer is no either way.
 
There is no double standard- It is simply a recurring cycle. If she listens to someone (A) telling her not to listen to others, (B) and ignores everyone including A, she will be forced to care about what B says in order to ignore A. But then she's caring about what others say, so she must by default listen to A, and then she'll ignore everyone including A, and to ignore A she'll have to listen to B, and so on and so forth..... See? It never, ever ends. The individual in question must decide for themselves which persons are best off ignored.
