Chaos is right that it depends on the situation. Being someone at work, as long as it doesn't interfere with work, and is not obvious to others (I don't remember if you told us where you work, but customers knowing is a bad thing), let her stew. He does his share and more, and today he left at 0500 and won't be home till after 7pm...he had to go to rochester New York and do some radio work at the rail yard....he will be beat when he gets home so the only thing I want him to have to do is help me move a broody who is hatching today...she is in an elevated box in the main coop so I want to put her on the floor in the 'people area' of the coop for a couple of days before they rejoin the flock.
He loves the broodies and chicks so that will not be a chore, lol
 
Despite not loving the coloring of the raccoon attack pair, I need to separate them from the flock now if I want pure eggs. Though I actually have about a month. I expect her to begin laying in about two weeks, then the eggs will be big enough and the kinks worked out about two weeks after that. I swear I am only thinking of the hens though. If someone does broody, I will be more likely to let her sit on the SPR eggs. Otherwise, she will be broken. I am not planning on hatching. Really! I swear!!
