on the bright side I just candled eggs and we have lost one it just disappeared and one is a dud but we have two developing chicks!!
never thought about it, but I've never had a broody eitherThe "missing egg" brought it to mind. I know the broody ate it. I think it's kind of cool that she knows it's a bad egg, and eats it rather than letting it spoil. I suppose in the wild the stench would attract predators.
Glad he is happy.
