Toddlers are Quackers

I'm making Duckling drink prune juice. She used to drink it before she discovered apple juice. Yada yada. She didn't have anything else to drink, so she drank it. I didn't say a word about having to. I just let her decide to do it.

Duckling woke a little. I whispered, "are you really awake?" She answered, so I changed her diaper. I hate the generic ones her parents give me. However, I got tired of supplying everything and it still wasn't enough for them. They were blowing all of their money, and telling me they needed gas money.
Anyway, I put on a Pampers. Now I know that she will make it through the night, and I won't get wet when I get her up in the morning!

I say buy diapers that you don't send with her. One of my co-workers helps raise her grandkids and she keeps certain clothes, toys, diapers, because she won't get them back and they certainly will ask for more freebies if they think they can get away with it. Even though my family is rather poor, I try my best not to overstep with my parents who live next door. Heck, my mom doesn't really like babies very much at all, but Princess adores grandma so much, she melts. I'm just glad Duckling has such a great person to love her. It is certainly inspiring especially since you aren't her mother.

it is wonderful for Duckling that she has you and you being there will undoubtedly be what gets through the tough parts of life.

my mom always keeps a stash of clothes for the boys and 'sposies for Killi (she doesn't do cloth) its not often the Killi is there without me but it happens when we NEED to get some shopping done childless. and Bird spends most of his time at his Nana's (he gets spoiled there and "Princess Ali Cat" dotes on him like crazy) I also send those rubber made storage totes full of toys over when I need to clear out out the toy boxes

Doctor Roo CROWED this morning!!!!!

I always have kept stuff on hand for nieces and nephews. I lived in an apartment that had 40 stairs, and my brother-in-law almost cried when he found out I bought a pack and play. I also bought a high chair.

There is nothing Duckling needs that I don't have. Never has been. I always have diapers. They give me eight for a whole week!! I use their diapers to force them to take some kind of responsibility.

I'm sorry about the rooster. He will never be quiet now!
