Toddlers are Quackers

Put its butt in a washcloth. Better yet, line the cloth with a paper towel.
I have some extra preemie/newborn size diapers that are sitting around. I could easily cut them in half to rest the baby on. I had it in my bra for over an hour. I had to put it back in the brooder to make lunch.....

I washed my shirt and skin in hand sanitizer. LOL

I'm probably being overly careful. How long did you keep the duck in your bra for? how did you socialize it? I know they grow pretty fast, but I find myself wanting to spend time with it so it won't be lonely. lol

I can't say "everyone" because some people... If I offend someone I am sorry. I really don't mean to.
Some people are too stupid to know the signs that their child is tired. Booger Butt (21 today! :th ) pulled on his ear.
So most people know how their child acts when tired. Duckling has been driving me up a wall since she woke before normal. I finally went to put her down for her nap, and she hit her leg on the footboard of the bed. It wasn't anything to normally phase her, but she acted like the world had ended! I had her calmed down, and got her snuggled into bed. She immediately flipped to her stomach (ready to sleep position) and began singing again . I sang one more time before leaving. As I walked out, I heard a wattery voice "for the Bible tells me... Bye! Abi! Abi! Bye! Mwah!" :th She tried not to cry. Broke my heart!
Fortunately, she was out within a minute.

The one nice thing about having animals, more toys than you can count, and acreage, is your kids rarely get bored.
We ban the word "bored" here, if anyone uses that word, they get chores to unbored them. :o

Banti spent the days in my bra (big chest. She was in there without a bra too!) for three or four days. He had a sister and six chicks in the brooder at the time. I waited until late to lay him back in there. He quieted quickly. Of course, his sister usually went over to snuggle with him. If not the chicks.

The new silkie babies are due in about 10-12 days give or take a day or three. LOL
We will see.

It just seems like 2 weeks is a long time for little lucky to be all alone!

Yeah. It will be anti-social in the beginning. Otherwise, a mirror will help with the stuffed animal. Lots of attention from you too. Trips outside are okay (don't listen to the "it has to be hot outside!" crap) too.
