Yeah. It will be anti-social in the beginning. Otherwise, a mirror will help with the stuffed animal. Lots of attention from you too. Trips outside are okay (don't listen to the "it has to be hot outside!" crap) too.

Duckling's father dropped her off during a hatch (the duckling that follows was born a few days later). I was showing Duckling the hatched chicks, but she was looking at an egg in the incubator. I finally looked, and saw this egg. This is after some shell was removed. Duckling did it all! I only told her what to do, and when to stop.


This is as soon as she dropped the last of the shell to the floor. She beamed a second later. It was so cool!!

You know, I think I'd be okay with my bird being anti social and living in the house if it was just ONE bird.

I have a duck diaper. I have not used it, but the Pekin drake was using it when his mate died last spring. I think I was told it was for about two months. I was given maxi pads as liners. She used cut up newborn diapers too.
