Okay, so you have probably all seen the new bed tents with glowing stars and lamp. Well, Duckling finally paid attention. I'm not really against it, but the commercial does bug me for all kinds of reasons.
I've been wanting to have a play tent for two years. We used to play under the table, and I've made blanket forts in the living room, but they weren't "doing it" for her. I have lately been thinking of making a tent behind the couch where her play area now is. I've also looked at bed tents and play tents sold online/in stores.
And with Duckling getting older, I knew she'd notice that commercial soon. So...
Her room was used for indoor clothes drying in the past (and occasionally now). There are two cables stretched across the room.
She was adamant she needed me to buy her a tent right away at nap time. She was giddy about her new tent! It's so big, so cool, she loves it, and she says it and I are the best ever!
She's still asleep on the flip couch (the old kind from the 80's. Not the newer toddler kind) under her tent. She has been cranky, so I'm letting her sleep.
