i am one of those parents that has her child in daycare 4 days a week, and the 5th day she is with her great-grammy

Nothing wrong with that. It just seems to me if you have a loving family member that wanted to home school. . I would choose that over day care. I had to work also and was fortunate enough my mom didn't work and was happy to help. I offered many times to find day care a few days a week to give her a break but she wasn't having it Lol.

It's beautiful too. A horse that is good with kids is priceless.

My daughter's bio dad tortured her with horses. He would buy a crazy un rideable horse at an auction. . tell her it was hers and then turns around and sell it because no-one could ride it. I lived in fear for several years she would get trampled by a horse at his house on the weekends.

Of course I couldn't afford a pony nor did I have a place to keep one. . so I was the meanest mommy ever. Lol

That's horrible, he could've at least gotten a wicked old one that doesn't even care to move

completely understandable, I am surprised that my husband got us this one (even after I test rode her) we were not even close to ready but she was that awesome

Yep, that's a whole different thing. You are a good mom who's providing for your children, not pawning them off so you can get your nails done, go to a concert, or drink all night with your friends.

I was flat out asked permission for them to try for another. I worded my answer carefully.

I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall for THAT conversation!
