Toddlers are Quackers

She wanted to sleep at the bottom of the bed. Her pillow was sliding onto the chair right away. She was content though, so I kissed her, turned on the timed nightlight, and left. I thought she would go to the head of the bed within minutes.

Nope!! :lau She is snoring, but the extra pillow on the chair is keeping her head up enough that there shouldn’t be any problems. I plugged in a real nightlight so she can see if she wakes.

Can Duckling brush her own hair? Is the other aunt cutting her hair so much because she knows bios won't brush it? Does she know Duckling wants her hair longer?

I remember getting my hair cut short when I was 5, because I wouldn't brush it myself. I was SO mad and ashamed of my short hair, because all the kids kept calling me a boy. (I kept my hair hip length for a very long time after that.)

No, she can’t brush her own hair. Weekly haircuts are a bit extreme regardless. Five is a bit young to properly brush hair too.
The neighbor does it because she is practicing. She has her license, but can’t cut straight for anything! Actually, ditto for the bio mother. The bios don’t want her hair short, so I’m not clear on what the issue is. I’m not sure if Duckling has been verbal about wanting her hair long like mine. I did get loud a few weeks ago to her father. It’s horrible when people (everyone!) that sees her calls her a boy or asks me while shopping or they are here.
Duckling basically sees her parents when they are visiting next door or there is a shindig that they want to show her off at. I don’t think she’s spent the night with her parents in months.

Despite being an aunt by marriage, she somehow looks just like me. I look into her eyes to know what color mine have turned, and vice versa. She thinks it’s so cool! Her hair is a little darker now, but we’re still both dirty blonde. Spending so much time with me has her laughing like me too. :lau Hearing my accent from her is hysterical!

The post office has lost my 18 quail. They were shipped Tuesday. No scanning done since they left the original post office. I figure they are dead, or will be by tomorrow, which is the earliest they can arrive now. So sick of their poor handling of livestock.
