Luckily she does not have high expectations of how parents are meant to behave, for them to be crushed....

We just watched (the original) Jungle Book. I haven’t heard Duckling laugh so hard in too long.

We got our first two quail eggs today. First one was discovered around ten, and the second around three. Five minutes later she wanted to check again.
She sings to them, and talks to them. I’m not allowed to eat them. She tells them she can’t wait to see what they look like when they hatch.

We slept in the tent last night. I miss the other dog, but this one did fine. He didn’t pee in the tent, so I am happy.
I am hurting, but we’re likely to sleep outside again tonight.

Before coming back out to the tent, we said goodnight to the eggs. She wants ten more tomorrow to fill the container. Then we need to incubate them.

She is awake early. Sleeping out usually makes her sleep longer.
I hurt less, thankfully! The dog does pretty well. I’m glad he can sleep with us.

I discovered an app that teaches us Spanish. I am grateful for any knowledge I can get into Duckling, but I’ll be learning too.

I loved sleeping out as a kid....from may till first frost I either slept out in an old tent or on a folding lounge chair on our covered back porch. Hopefully she will enjoy it as much! Although I hope your muscle aches don't get too rough.

We sleep on the futon on the front porch when it’s warm, but not warm enough, and raining. I am seriously considering hauling the mattress (with the wagon to help!) out to the tent.
I was very happy to see the dog sleeping against Duckling last night. I felt kinda lonely, but I wasn’t being crushed!
