Alrighty, I have an injured hen.

She's a 9 month old barred rock. This morning I was out putting them back in their coop after some free range time (I needed to let the dog out) and I noticed that one of my little girls has a bent toe and a nice injury on the other ankle. The bent toe looks fine, she's walking about okay. The ankle has a bloody area about the size of a dime that appears scabbed over. Should I be concerned? Do I need to separate her from the other girls for a few days?

    Thanks for your help!

Actually, I was just out there watching her for about 1/2 hour and it appears that the ankle is bothering her. Some of the other chickens are pecking at her too. Should I separate her for a couple days?
