I can try. She doesn’t let me near her.Can you post a picture?
I am going to get her once she is in the coop tonight. She keeps running away and I don’t want to chase her. That’s the best photo I could get.I can try. She doesn’t let me near her.
It looks a bit like something could have wrapped around the toe and cut off blood supply, it’s pretty swollenAnyone have any thoughts? I am going to put antibiotics on it after a soak, wrap it and keep her separated for a few days.
I think she did get it caught in mesh. I wrapped it last night but I will take the bandage off and keep spraying it and putting ointment on it and keep her separated. She doesn’t want to stand on it but that may be die to the wrap. She may have broken the tip and nail off getting caught on fencing. It happened to my chicken. It will be very painful for a week or two. You could leave it alone or spray it with some Betadine or chlorhexidene, but I would not wrap it or do much else, since she may hurt and limp on it anyway. Treating it more may only stress her.
