Toe pecker!!

Yep, my chickens peck the heck out of my toes but are learning to mind. I can't even imagine when they grow up.

LOL We have a chicken named Toe Pecker!!! She always pecks my moms toes! I guess thats what you get for wearing sandals in the chicken yard.

I read in a chicken book that chickens are attracted to the color red and anything shiny. That is why they often make the bottom of the waterers and feeders red or shiny.

I have the same problem with my jersey giant and a white leg horn (minus the nail polish part). They can get my toes pretty good occasionally when I wear flip flops.

Yes, I learned the same lesson. However, my chickens don't like being touched, so all I have to do it stretch my foot towards them, and they scatter.

It's when you fall asleep, that they strike.
