I had some leftover tofu that went a little ooky while we were gone for a few days and I fed that to my chickens. OMG...thats all I will say. THey really like Tofu.

Well-cooked beans are, though, and tofu is just soybeans.

Not something I would give often though.

I don't think that tofu would hurt them at all. Soybeans are a good source of protein and calcium. Soybean meal is used in all sorts of animal feeds. Tofu is a processed by-product of soybeans. Don't use it as a daily feed but if they like it, go ahead and feed it to them.

I think TOFU isnt on the list because NO ONE should have to eat TOFU.

Aww, it isn't that bad. Would you eat the mealworms that you feed your chickens?

Tofu is actually very good at taking on the flavor of whatever it is cooked with. Though not my favorite thing, it is a good, healthy addition to many meals. I'm sure the chickens love it, and if I ever find myself with some leftover Tofu (probably won't

) I'd give it to them as a treat.

There are 2 things DH won't eat- one is artichokes, the other is tofu. Just means more for me!

I love tofu and never would have thought to give it to the girls!!! Thanks!!!

LOL I like tofu, in fruit things, I havent tried firm tofu in any meat dishes yet. This was silken so it was nice and goobery for them. I have noticed that these guys LOVE anything goobery, like leftover gravy chilled overnight, stuff like that. I fed them side pork grease once, since its salt-free, and they LOVED it, but I wont give them that often if ever again.
